From Brown Copper Eyes to a Sultry Smokey Makeup

Hello guys,

In this post, together with Lyka MBeauty, we'll explain how to go from a sweet angelic make-up to a more fierce Smokey look for the evening. We'll also be sharing some tips that we find useful when wearing makeup. You can find at the bottom of the page a list with all the products that we have used for these two looks.

One of the tips Lyka shared with me was that before and after putting makeup on she uses the Pixi by Petra Glow Mist Spray, that has natural oils like Propolis and Argan oil. It is important to always apply a good setting spray or primer to make sure your make-up sits perfectly and stays unchanged for as long as possible.

To create the first look Lyka used a soft matte burnt orange through the crease and medium brown shade on the eyelid to complement and bring out the brown colour of my eyes. For this she used the Morphe 350 matte palette from cultbeauty.com, that has a variety of neutral shades, a great formula and blends in perfectly. She then applied the Chanel liquid eyeliner really close to the lash line to give more definition to the look. We finished it off with a nice nude lip colour by using Mac 'Spice' lip liner and Mac 'Honeylove' lipstick.

In order to obtain the transition to a more fierce look, we decided to go for a sultry Smokey eye makeup by simply adding a darker shade on the eyelid, as it is one of the most popular eye makeup styles that will never go out of trend and it immediately gives you a very dramatic and sexy appeal and also expands your eyes.

Another trick that I stole from Lyka was that she mixed the foundation with the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow primer in order to give a natural luminous complexion and radiant look to my skin.

Let me know if guys give these looks a try and don't hesitate to comment or email your questions or post requests.

XOXO,

E.
